Edith Mak was born in Hong Kong. She came to London for further education after 15 years managerial fashion management experience. She found her spiritual new life since approaching Buddhism at London Fo Guang Shan Temple. Edith holds a degree of Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Fine Art with First Class Award from University of Derby in 2010. Edith’s art research is based on a prolonged unraveling of themes of time, love, life and death. The practice has enabled her to display the layering of psychological reflection over the death of her late mother as well as gaining more self-awareness. She is a visual artist and continuing her researches and art journey over the relationship between Buddhism and art.
