Peter Harvey was Professor of Buddhist Studies at the University of Sunderland (retired Oct 2011), where he ran an online MA Buddhist Studies since 2002, which includes a module on Buddhist Ethics.

He was one of the two co-founders of the UK Association for Buddhist Studies in 1995 ( http://ukabs.org.uk/) , and is currently the editor of its journal, /Buddhist Studies Review/ (http://www.equinoxjournals.com/BSR ), as well as being on the editorial panel of the internet /Journal of Buddhist Ethics/ (http://blogs.dickinson.edu/buddhistethics/).
